Sarbendu Rakshit

I am a visiting assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA from August 2023. Before that, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside from May 2022 to August 2023, working with Prof. Fabio Pasqualetti. I completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics from the Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, (Degree giving university: Calcutta University) in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Dibakar Ghosh. I completed my bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Mathematics in the year 2013, and my master's degree (M.Sc.) in Mathematics in the year 2015 from Siksha Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan.

I am a learner of Mathematics with a strong interest in the broad area of dynamical systems and differential equations. The broad goal of my research is to understand better the emergent behavior of networked dynamical systems, their invariance, and associated stability analysis, as well as the processes that control them. I use the theory from Algebra, Analysis, Differential, and Difference equations as my major tool. Currently, my research deals with emergent behaviors in networked dynamical systems with special attention to their invariance and stability analysis.
